Lot 78
The Brief
Lot78 had a Flash-based site for many years and wished to replace it with a site through which it could sell clothes online. It wanted to look bigger than it actually was, and ensure its brand and theme stood out from the crowd of other fashion-based sites. Its small team, needed to be able to control a blog, website and online orders simply and quickly.
The Solution
Space Galleon used the design competition model to help generate as many different design options as possible, because the client was unsure how to represent itself online and had only the brand and product shots as a reference.
Working closely with the designers and the client, more than 70 different design options were created until the perfect match was found. Space Galleon ensured the site was still optimised for the user experience, and data could be found within a few clicks.
The site was built quickly to ensure deadline was reached and the client was provided with a design-focused site that did not compromise on usability. Flash was avoided in every situation possible due to poor SEO response and use with apple products. We ensured that, where Flash would previously have been the solution, a combination of JQuery, Javascript and HTML5 was used.
